Shallot and Garlic

Shallot is a pungent sweet herb. The purplish red shallot with shiny skin gives a pungent flavor. The brownish orange shallot, on the other hand, gives a sweeter taste. Select the dried and plump bulb without mould is suggested.

This kind of Thai garlic has a strong distinctive odor. The small bulb gives stronger odor and flavor than the large one. It is available both in a bunch or individual clove. Store by hanging or placing in basket and keep in a ventilated area in order to prevent them from being rotten or spoiled.
